Course description International corporations in the agrifood sector increasingly need professionals qualified in change management, who can act locally and think globally. All graduates from this Master programme will have first-hand knowledge of change processes in a business context outside their own branch and will have acquired valuable insights into the differences in international business cultures and work ethics and the role they can play to deal with these issues in change processes. These people bring the science of life to the business of food. To complete this the Master in Agribusiness Development aims at the integration of personal development, business analysis, environmental analysis, and business strategy, to successfully design and implement change processes. During this 12-month programme you will conduct a large part of your education at one of our selected Master Companies. These international agribusiness companies, operating at the top of the market, offer the opportunity to a master student to conduct an independent business analysis.
Study subjects Four phases: - Free mover: exploring the Master Company and reflection on improvement options, research and analysis. - Young potential: elaborating improvments options, respecting the international business context of the company. - Manager: proposing chage and gaining support to implement intervention strategies for improvement. - Researcher: you will analyse and write your thesis.
Course objectives Successful graduates will be competent in the following areas of expertise: •Critical analysis of agribusinesses in a global perspective • Design of intervention strategies taking into account business cultures and work ethics • Implementation of change and innovation processes in international agribusiness • Applied, business oriented research • Leadership in the agribusiness cluster
