Course description Safe food has become a top priority. For many years, the Netherlands has played a leading role in the field of food safety and quality. The first food safety certificates were issued to companies in the Netherlands. “From farm to fork” approach has also played a significant role in this regard. The programme offers specialization courses: - Food safety and food quality management - EU Food Law - Food safety technologies - Implementation of food safety man. systems - Auditing food safety and quality systems - Food safety project The programme also features introductory courses that will prepare students to work in an int. environment: - Int. agri- food business and marketing - Intercultural communication - English and International placement preparation training Additionally a course on research skills will be provided. After a semester of courses students will have an internship in a company where they will perform their individual research and write their thesis. The programme is developed in strong cooperation with representatives of the labour market and practice oriented. The groups of students are small which enables a better interaction and more personalized relation

Course objectives In this programme, students will learn how to assure the quality and safety of food, discover what a food quality management system is, how to set it up and how to monitor whether a food safety system is working well.
