Course summary The International Business bachelor's programme prepares you to become an international business professional who is capable of helping internationally operating businesses achieve their goals.
Course description International Business is a programme fully taught in English. In the first year, you learn about international business essentials and business skills. You will explore how the changing business environment affects international business and how it responds to it. You also delve into the internal dynamics of a business and try to understand how the business works from the perspective of organizational management, finance, operations, HR and marketing. In the second year, you will be doing a project in each of the four blocks. You will learn the ins and outs of the Scrum project management method. The projects will deal with Human Resources, Finance, Operations & Logistics, and Marketing. This gives you the opportunity to find solutions for real companies. One of the greatest opportunities at IBS is the year abroad. During your third year, you spend a semester studying at one of our many partner schools and a semester working in a company outside your home country. In the fourth year, you deepen your knowledge relating to your minor and final graduation project.

Admission requirements
  1. Applicants should have basic knowledge of Mathematics and Economics and have basic computer skills. In addition, applicants should have a good command of English as the programme is fully taught in English.
  2. Some students are exempt from submitting an English language proficiency test. Please check for more information.
  3. International students need a national secondary school diploma or international secondary school qualification such as an International Baccalaureate Diploma. It must have a similar or equivalent level to the Dutch HAVO secondary school diploma. Go to to see if your diploma meets our admission requirements.
