Course summary Are you creative, ambitious, outspoken and passionate about fashion? A four-year Bachelor's degree programme at the AMFI-Amsterdam Fashion Institute provides a solid basis for your career.
Course description The foundation year of the programme familiarises you with all aspects of the fashion world. The first semester is the same for all specialisations. In the second half of the foundation year you shift focus to your chosen specialisation: Design: In Design you take a historical approach to the design of clothing and make designs that explore different materials and their technical treatment. You also compile a concept book and a design book. Management: In Management you conduct a clothing analysis, define your conceptual principles and create a garment with an accompanying working drawing and production manual. Branding: In Branding you learn about aspects such as basic garment analysis, spotting trends and presenting a new fashion concept in 3D.
Study subjects AMFI is the only Bachelor programme in the Netherlands that covers the entire fashion chain ranging from design and production to distribution and communication. Students can specialise in either Design, Management or Branding. AMFI offers its Bachelor programmes in both Dutch and English.
