Course description This interdisciplinary programme focuses on the utilisation and conservation of water resources and the associated infrastructural, organizational and institutional arrangements. The programme includes subjects on key biophysical and hydrological processes to determine the water availability in terms of quality and quantity as well as to quantify the uses and requirements of water by humans and the environment. In addition, the programme focuses on the legal, institutional, economic and other arrangements that regulate access, allocation, treatment, use and discharge of water.
Study subjects Foundation phase focusing on various disciplines involved in water management. Personal study profile selected by student based on relevant experience and career ambitions. Profiles can be fully tailor-made based on available contemporary courses or follow one of the thematic profiles (e.g. water resources, water services, water quality or water conflict). MSc research phase and thesis writing.

Department IHE Delft
Information about the institution IHE Delft Institute for Water Education is the largest international graduate water education facility in the world and the only institution in the UN system to confer accredited MSc degrees and promote PhDs. It offers degree programmes, short courses, online courses and tailor-made training. Since 1957 the Institute has provided graduate education to more than 15,000 water professionals from over 160 countries. More than 175 PhD candidates were promoted. IHE Delft is at the centre of a vast international network of water related institutions, and functions as an interface between knowledge networks and centres, public and private sector organizations, scientific and professional associations and other members of the international water community.
