Study subjects The course has lectures on the theory for preprocessing of data using open source software and river basin modelling with SWAT. Practical experience will be acquired during computer exercises on using open source software for preprocessing and modelling and calibration with SWAT.
Course objectives After this course the participants are able to: (1) acquire open access data; (2) use open source GIS software for pre- and post-processing and (3) implement and calibrate a SWAT model for river basin modelling.

Information about the institution IHE Delft Institute for Water Education is the largest international graduate water education facility in the world and the only institution in the UN system to confer accredited MSc degrees and promote PhDs. It offers degree programmes, short courses, online courses and tailor-made training.
