Course summary This three-week course is for experienced broadcast, print and/or digital journalists who are keen to increase their knowledge of practical investigative journalism methods and techniques.
Course description The course teaches you investigative methods so that you can identify and uncover compelling stories on critical issues and present them in a powerful way. You will find out how to research and structure these stories and return home with a fully researched investigative plan. On graduation, you will have mastered investigative journalism methods, approaches, and techniques that are practical and accessible to every broadcast, print, or digital journalist. You will also know how to uncover and tell original investigative stories in ways that can have real impact. After the course, you will also be able to combine creative media formats with investigative journalism stories. On graduation, you will have the confidence to uphold essential journalistic principles and hold municipalities, governments, corporations and individuals to account for their actions in order to contribute to the development of a healthy society.
Study subjects The 3-week course focuses on the essential methods required to research, cross-check, and structure information to reveal authentic investigative scoops.   1. Mid-career broadcast, print and/or multimedia journalists with at least three years' continuous experience in the field of broadcast, print and/or digital journalism.
