Delft University of Technology

Master Postgraduate Delft

Course description

Qualification Master of Science
Field of study Engineering
Course summary Microelectronics play a crucial role in all fields of innovation.
Course description The ever-increasing demand for processing power, sensing capabilities and miniaturisation makes microelectronics the most innovative field of all. For example: * Chipmakers are pushed to develop new and reliable processes that allow the integration of hundreds of millions (or even billons) of transistors onto a single microchip. * Analogue designers are challenged to build accurate circuits from clearly non-ideal transistors. * Digital designers face problems with regard to the design, layout and testing of highly complex circuits. * System designers must meet the requirements of application environments that are often multidisciplinary.
Study subjects The programme, which is taught in English, provides a solid scientific base in the fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, combined with in-depth scientific and practical knowledge and understanding of the entire spectrum of microelectronics ranging from technology and devices to analogue and digital circuits, sensors, systems and microsystems. The course content is in line with industry expectations and regarded as top academic quality. The programme is built up of different tiers, equipping y
Course objectives The programme will provide you with academic skills, broad fundamental courses, microelectronic key courses.
