Course description The Master's degree program Sustainable Energy Technology delivers energy experts with more than technical knowledge alone. They also have an understanding of economics, policy and innovation processes. This combination is a clear advantage for employers. The program provides students with a strong technology knowledge base in sustainable energy. In the first year students will gain more in-depth knowledge in sustainable energy resources by lectures and project work. During the first year students start taking specialization courses so that they can dedicate the full second year to their specialization, including an internship and a graduation project. The program has several graduation tracks in which you can specialize: Sources, Fuels & Storage, Electrical Power Systems, Energy & Society, and Application in the Built Environment. The demand for Sustainable Energy Technology engineers is strong. Eindhoven University of Technology is in the world's top 20 institutes carrying out research into alternative energy, according to a study by the scientific publisher Elsevier.
Study subjects The first year consists of core courses and elective courses. You can follow elective courses in the specializations: Sources, Fuels & Storage, Electrical Power Systems, Energy & Society, and Application in the Built Environment. The second year consists of the internship and the graduation project which takes place under the supervision of the participating research group.
Course objectives Graduates are able to design and evaluate sustainable energy systems considering technical, societal and environmental aspects. They combine a multidisciplinary approach with in-depth knowledge in one of the main subjects within sustainable energy. You can graduate as well as in-depth as in with.

  1. For admission a minimum of 75% CGPA. For entry to Amandus H. Lundqvist Scholarship Program (ALSP) a minimum of 80% CGPA.
  2. (University) BSc in mechanical engineering, applied physics, chemical engineering, energy technology, electrical engineering or equivalent study.
