Course description The three-year English-taught Bachelor’s programme Civil Engineering (CE) will equip you with both the technical and the non-technical expertise you need to take on complex civil engineering challenges. You will learn to design, construct and manage large projects in construction & infrastructure, water management, and traffic & transport, while also becoming an expert in organizational and non-technical issues, from legal and administrative aspects to communication, project and process management, and sustainability. This fusion of hard technology – including subjects like mathematics and mechanics – with soft skills makes this Bachelor’s programme unique, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Demand for civil engineers is high and Dutch engineers are known as the best in the world. As an academically grounded, all-round civil engineer from the UT, you will have many exciting (international) job opportunities. The majority of graduates do a Master’s first, such as Civil Engineering & Management or Construction Management & Engineering. Most quickly well-paying jobs, for example, in consultancy or contracting, or with the government.
