Field of study General programmes
Course summary The PDEng in Business and IT (PDEng BIT) aims to raise the level of competence of professionals in IT to deal with the opportunities and challenges that these developments pose.
Course description In today’s networked and individualized world, businesses, consumers, citizens and governments form complex networks of interaction that span the globe and at the same time have great local impact. Information technology (IT) is the means that makes these innovations and their impact possible. IT offers the means to connect organizations, people and devices, to make these connections mobile, and to analyze the huge amounts of data generated by these connections. This in turn makes intelligent services possible by which business and non-profit organizations can innovate their products and services. However, careful analysis of IT-based mechanisms of value generation in business networks and IT-based design of new organizational configurations is needed to make these innovations a success. The PDEng in Business and IT (PDEng BIT) aims to raise the level of competence of professionals in IT to deal with the opportunities and challenges that these developments pose. The complexity of today’s IT-enabled world implies that IT professionals cannot restrict themselves to one discipline, such as IT or management science.
Study subjects In this Post-Master programme you will spend 50% of your time on a technological design within a company, and 50% of your time on a course programme to earn knowledge and skills in favor of creating the technological design.
