Course summary Do you like working with data and mathematics? Do you want to specialize in solving the most complex decision problems by using mathematical models and methods? Then is the right program for you.
Course description This program teaches advanced Data Science and Optimization methods that allow you to solve decision problems in a wide variety of applications. Examples from logistics include vehicle routing, supply chain optimization, and inventory management. But there are many other applications, such as donor kidney allocation and optimizing tumor treatment plans in the medical field, or dike height optimization and train scheduling in the public sector. Business Analytics and Operations Research professionals are currently in very high demand, and the demand is predicted to increase even further. Hence, your career perspectives are excellent. On average our Business Analytics and Operations Research graduates find their first paid job within 1.1 month after graduation, with a gross monthly income of €3.226. Study subjects The program consists of 60 Credits (ECTS). Students will take at least 5 out of 6 core courses. The 6 core courses are Optimization, Simulation, Decision Making with Business Analytics, Data Science Methods, Supply Chain Analytics, and Professional Business Analytics Skills. Furthermore students have 2 electives of 6 ECTS each and write a Master's thesis of 18 ECTS.

Admission requirements
  1. The minimum GRE score for applicants is 160 on the quantitative part.
  2. Proficiency in English is required. Students who obtained their Bachelor's degree in the Netherlands, native English speakers and applicants with a Bachelor's degree from a programme entirely in English can be admitted without an English proficiency test.
