Course description The CentER Research Master in Business consists of the doctoral course work which precedes the research years of the PhD. The research master enables students to accumulate theoretical and technical knowledge of research methodology courses and to develop the skills required for cutting-edge research in their field. The program ensures that students get acquainted with analytical and empirical tools that are frequently used in business research. In addition, the students gain a deep knowledge of their chosen field of specialization (accounting, finance, marketing, operations research, and organization and strategy). The program courses are taught by internationally renowned researchers belonging to the faculty of CentER, and some excellent scholars invited from abroad. The following specializations can be chosen from: * Accounting * Finance * Marketing * Operations Research * Organization & Strategy * Information and Supply Chain
Study subjects The study load is 60ECTS per year(total 120ECTS over the two-year program). The curriculum consists of various teaching forms, where a balance is created between lectures, seminars, and writing and presenting papers. For all tracks, the first year consists of compulsory courses: core courses of the field and research methodology courses. Depending on the track, the students can also choose optional courses. The second year is characterized by compulsory and optional courses and writing a thesis.
Course objectives The overall objective of the RM Business program is to train students in conducting research and to prepare the to write a PhD dissertation in this field. Completing the RM Business at Tilburg University means that students have developed the knowledge and skills to begin a career in academic research. More specifically, the will receive a thorough training in research skills: clear reasoning, critical analysis, deciphering complex subjects, and accurate communication of findings.

Admission requirements
  1. Successful applicants typically rank among the best 10% of GRE or GMAT General Test takers on the Quantitative Reasoning section. We also give preference to students with higher scores on the Analytical Writing and Verbal Reasoning sections. If you have a Dutch university bachelor's or master's degree in economics, econometrics or business studies or another relevant field, you do not need to provide a GRE or GMAT test score.
