Course description The biggest societal challenges are global, affecting half a billion EU citizens. This Master focuses on EU law that aims to secure economic prosperity, environmental integrity, proper responses to migration, and continued respect for the rule of law. EU law not only dominates these legal spheres within the EU, but also is a leading global force. This is a track of the Master's program in International and European Law (LLM). Graduates of the Master in European Law and Global Risk have deep understandings of European Law pertaining to, in particular (1) Global and EU markets (competition, internal market, and WTO law), (2) Environment, Climate and Energy, (3) Migration, (4) Rule of Law. Typical courses are: *Risk in the EU *Regulating Competition *Moot Court Course *Migration and Rule of Law *The EU and Global Environmental Risk
Study subjects This one-year program consists of 60-63 credits (ECTS), of which: 1 introductory course (3 ECTS) (Only required for students who have insufficient knowledge of European Law) 5 core courses (30 ECTS) 3 elective courses (18 ECTS) 2 Compulsory Focus courses 1 Elective course OR Thesis Law Clinic Master's thesis (12 ECTS) You can start either end of August or end of January. Please note that for the February-intake there is an adapted program, affecting electives.
