Course summary In this program you will study the meaning of health and illness in our society and investigate how these concepts relate to cultural norms and how they address issues of equality and justice.
Course description This Master's track approaches health and medicine from an interdisciplinary humanities perspective, and will therefore enable you to critically analyze current healthcare and contribute to its improvement. You will study how developments and opinions regarding health, medicine and healthcare are reflected in cultural practices in society and learn how you can report on research outcomes to influence the debate and decision making processes around these topics. After graduation you will be able to understand the complex health care issues and function as a critical health care assessor.
Study subjects This one-year program consists of 60 ECTS, of which: 4 core courses (24 ECTS) 2 research skills modules (6 ECTS) Internship (9ECTS) + self study module (3 ECTS) or 2 elective courses (6 ECTS) Master's thesis (18 ECTS) You can only start end of August.
