Students will gain a critical and holistic view on these challenges as well as potential solutions. The VU Amsterdam University's association with the Amsterdam Institute of Global Health and Development (AIGHD) offers students access to an extensive network of partners and experts in health and related domains that invite students to think critically global health issues via group discussions and debates. Students' learning is further enriched through interviews with key local and international actors in the field as well as a visit to a relevant institution, such as the Royal Tropical Institute or the Amsterdam Community Health Service.
