Communication and Information Studies

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Bachelor Undergraduate Amsterdam

Course description

Qualification Bachelor of Arts
Field of study Humanities, social sciences, communication and arts
Course summary The BA in Communication and Information Studies is a broad program that offers various insights on language, communication and media.
Course description Unique in its own way, this BA offers two international tracks for international students. You can choose between Language Learning and Language Teaching or Language and Media. In the BA CIS specialization Language and media you will learn how and why organizations apply new (and old) media in business-to-business and business-to-consumer interaction. The BA CIS specialization Language Learning and Language Teaching bridges the gap between what linguists know about the learnability of languages and what language teachers experience in daily life. We aim to explain why certain aspects of languages are extremely difficult to learn while others are not, and how this varies for different learner groups.
