Course summary The master Landscape Architecture and Planning is a two-year MSc programme in Wageningen. You can specialise in Landscape Architecture; Spatial Planning.
Course description Landscapes form our living environment. Natural landscapes are often beautiful in themselves, however most of those we now live in are the result of our complex interaction with the natural world. The new generation of landscape architects and spatial planners understand the challenges we face when shaping and creating the landscapes that form a key component of our living environment. Your goal is to study and design sustainable solutions for important landscape challenges such as climate change, energy needs, health, food security and urbanisation.
Study subjects With every student an individual study contract is made up. Majors can be done within profiles such as Landscape Architecture; Socio-spatial Analysis; and Spatial Planning. Professionals from developing countries therefore have the possibility to follow a study programme adapted to their professional interest and local needs.
Course objectives Landscape Architecture and Planning focuses on the deliberate construction and reconstruction of the environment. It involves research, planning and design of landscape to create, maintain, protect and enhance places.

  1. Grade Point Average of at least 70%; good skills in mathematics and/or statistics; basic computer skills.

  3. BSc in landscape architecture, geography, rural planning, landscape planning or related fields.
